We’ll begin early in the morning and journey northeast through changing landscapes, passing trading towns and expansive farmland.
As we drive through Mbale and up into the semi-arid plains, the scenery becomes wide, dry, and dramatic. Midway, we’ll stop for lunch and stretch before continuing toward the Karamoja region.
By late afternoon, we’ll reach Moroto, the cultural heart of the Karamojong people. You’ll check into a rustic safari camp or eco-lodge nestled near the mountains.
Before dinner, relax by the fire as a local guide shares stories about the region and what to expect the next day. Overnight stay under the stars, with the quiet hum of the wild in the distance.
