Rise early for a hearty breakfast before heading to the park headquarters by 7:30 AM for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You’ll be grouped and assigned a gorilla family before beginning your trek into the dense jungle.
The experience can last 4–6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. Once found, you’ll spend a life-changing hour watching them up close—feeding, playing, and interacting in their natural environment.
In the afternoon, opt for a cultural encounter with the Batwa forest people, visit a banana brewery, explore local coffee farms, or meet traditional herbalists—adding depth and context to your Bwindi experience.
