Your adventure begins with a drive westward through Uganda’s beautiful countryside, passing rolling hills, rural homesteads, and scenic farmlands. En route, we stop at the Equator in Masaka for a fun photo moment and a relaxed lunch.

In the late afternoon, we arrive at Lake Mburo National Park—Uganda’s smallest savannah park but rich in diversity. After checking into your lodge, we shall head to the park for a game drive in search of zebras, impalas, elands, topis, waterbucks, and a variety of bird species. The golden savanna, dotted with acacias and rocky outcrops, offers beautiful views and excellent photography.

Start the morning with a guided nature walk—one of the few places in Uganda where walking alongside wildlife is possible. Giraffes, zebras, and warthogs roam freely, and our expert guide will share fascinating facts about the park’s ecosystem.

After lunch, we will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, into the Albertine Rift Valley. Depending on arrival time, we will enjoy a short evening game drive across the Kasenyi Plains. Keep your eyes open for elephants, lions, hyenas, and Uganda kobs as the sun sets over the savanna plains.

We rise early for a morning game drive through Queen Elizabeth’s vast savannahs, where predator sightings are more likely while they are still actively hunting for prey and other animals looking for food. With luck, we may spot lions on the hunt, a leopard lounging in a fig tree, or herds of buffalo and elephants moving through the plains.

After lunch at your lodge, we head to Mweya for a scenic boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel—a natural waterway that connects Lakes Edward and George filled with both wildlife and bird species. Along the riverbanks, you’ll spot hippos, crocodiles, waterbirds, and elephants cooling off along the shores—a perfect, peaceful contrast to the rugged savannah.

This morning, we make our way to Kibale National Park—a journey of approximately 2.5 to 3 hours through lush, fertile landscapes dotted with tea plantations and crater lakes.

After lunch at the lodge, we head to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on your chimpanzee tracking excursion. Trek through dense rainforest with expert guides who will lead you to a family of habituated chimpanzees. Watching them swing through the canopy, groom each other, or forage on the forest floor is truly captivating.

Afterwards, you may choose to visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run project known for its birdlife, monkeys, butterflies, and cultural experiences. Enjoy dinner under the stars at your lodge.

We depart early for a scenic drive through the Kigezi Highlands—often called the “Switzerland of Africa.” The terrain changes dramatically as we ascend into the dense rainforest of Bwindi, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.

The drive itself is a highlight, offering spectacular views of terraced hillsides, misty valleys, and charming villages along the way. Upon arrival in the early evening, you will check in to your lodge and rest.

Today is the highlight of your safari. After an early breakfast, we transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing before setting off into the forest.

The trek can be a bit challenging—navigating thick foliage and steep terrain—but the reward is unparalleled: an incredible hour with the endangered mountain gorillas. Watch in awe as they play, groom, and feed within arm’s distance. A once-in-a-lifetime experience.

After the trek, enjoy a community visit if you wish. Meet the Batwa people, visit coffee farms, or learn about traditional forest healing practices—adding cultural depth to your Bwindi experience.

After breakfast, we begin our return journey to Entebbe. This full-day drive (approximately 8–9 hours) offers scenic views through Uganda’s western highlands, with a stop for lunch and another at the Equator for a final photo opportunity.

You’ll arrive in Entebbe in the evening, marking the end of a memorable safari through Uganda’s rich and varied landscapes.
