3 Day Gorilla trekking safari

You will depart from Kampala or Entebbe and journey southwest towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. As you travel, you'll notice a dramatic change in scenery from the lowlands around Entebbe to the mountainous terrain of Bwindi. Along the way, enjoy the picturesque views of rolling hills covered with tea plantations, and pass through charming small villages that offer a glimpse into local life. This scenic drive sets the stage for an exciting adventure into the heart of Uganda's natural wonders. 

Gorilla tracking. This day is spent in the rainforest. After a briefing, it will then be time to go into the forest to a gorilla family. It usually takes a few hours to find the family and then an hour to be with them, before we return to camp.

If you are back a little earlier and feel like doing something more, there are opportunities to do a guided walk in the village, learn about coffee, bananas, meet a medicine man and maybe Batwa (pygmies). Otherwise, it's fine to rest

On the final day of your 3-day gorilla safari, we start with an early breakfast at the lodge in Bwindi before embarking on the scenic drive back to Entebbe. Enjoy the stunning views of rolling hills and tea plantations along the way. We will stop in Mbarara for a delicious lunch and stretch your legs. Continuing our journey, we will pass through vibrant towns and rural areas, arriving in Entebbe by early evening. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time to explore local attractions in Entebbe before being transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your onward journey

• All nights on sharing basis, 3 nights. 

• Full board - all meals from dinner on day 1 to breakfast on day 3

• All transport, days 1 - 3 is in a 4WD safari vehicle with an opening roof.

• Drivers and guides

• Gorilla Tracking Permits ($800) - these must be booked and paid for well in advance.

• Own travel to and from Uganda, including visa

• Personal equipment and insurance

• Drinks in addition to the non-alcoholic options offered.

• Payment or tips to any porters or helpers during the gorilla tracking

• Tips/gratuities to drivers, guides or where otherwise applicable
